This study employed the wavelet approach to present results in short-term, medium-term, long-term, and very long time.</p> <p><strong>Findings-</strong> The findings of this study showed a negative correlation between the CDS market, stock market, and the TSX 60 index in the short-term as well as in the long-term term, while in medium-term and very long-term period correlation is strongly positive. The wavelet co-movement results in the short-term and long-term were negative, while this relationship in the medium-term and very long-term period was strongly positive.</p> <p><strong>Practical Implications-</strong> This research provides simultaneous valuable information for investment decisions in the short, medium, and long term time horizons, as well as for the policymakers in the Canadian credit default swaps market, stock market, and the volatility index (TSX 60 Index).</p> Ramzan Ali, Usman Ullah Butt, Muhammad Musa Khan, Muhammad Shaheer, Farhan Abbas Zaidi Copyright (c) 2020 Ramzan Ali, Usman Ullah Butt, Muhammad Musa Khan, Muhammad Shaheer, Farhan Abbas Zaidi Tue, 19 May 2020 00:00:00 +0000 Ethical Leadership and Whistleblowing: Mediating Role of Stress and Moderating Effect of Interactional Justice <p><strong>Purpose-</strong> Prevalence of corporate frauds is critical, therefore, identifying and institutionalizing the bad apples in the barrel which are engaged in wrongdoings is much needed and must be brought to the lights through whistleblowing.</p> <p><strong>Design/Methodology-</strong> Data were collected from the South Asian countries through a structured questionnaire from the employees of the telecom sector. Three hundred twenty-nine samples were gathered to test hypothesized relationships.</p> <p><strong>Findings-</strong> Results showed that whistleblowing intentions of employees through psychological stress mediates the behaviors of their leaders, which turns ethical leadership at the workplace. Further, ethical leadership positively impacts employees’ intention to blow the whistle at the workplace. Furthermore, the analysis showed that interactional justice moderates the relationship between ethical leadership and intention to blow the whistle of employees</p> <p><strong>Practical Implications-</strong> This research gives a different perspective to the managers to develop such a culture that enables an honest and trustworthy environment, which may enable the employees to point out the wrongdoings they witness while working at the workplace. </p> Muhammad Osaid Rabie, Marlin Abdul Malek Copyright (c) 2020 Muhammad Osaid Rabie, Marlin Abdul Malek Tue, 07 Apr 2020 00:00:00 +0000 Organizational Justice and Employee Sustainability: The Mediating Role of Organizational Commitment <p><strong>Purpose-</strong> The primary purpose of the study is to determine the impact of organizational justice (OJ) on employee sustainability. Along with that, it also describes how organizational commitment mediates this direct relationship. This study includes all dimensions of OJ which are distributive, procedural and interactional (interpersonal &amp; informational) within the context of a developing country (Pakistan).</p> <p><strong>Design/Methodology-</strong> This study has considered employees working in the banking sector of Pakistan. Two hundred ten questionnaires were received back from employees. Regression analysis was used to analyze direct relationships between variables, while smart partial least squares (PLS) were used for mediation analysis.</p> <p><strong>Findings-</strong> Results demonstrated that all hypothesis were accepted and it was also confirmed that organizational commitment (OC) mediates the direct relationship between OJ and employee sustainability (ES).</p> <p><strong>Originality/value-</strong> Multidimensional construct of organizational justice was tested in this study, in the context of a developing country (Pakistan), to address the research gap.</p> Mehreen Fatima Qaisrani, Zeeshan Izhar, Dr. Zaheer Abbas Kazmi Copyright (c) 2020 Mehreen Fatima Qaisrani, Zeeshan Izhar, Dr. Zaheer Abbas Kazmi Sat, 18 Apr 2020 00:00:00 +0000 Contributions of Working Conditions on Teachers’ Attitude in School Settings of Nepal <p>Purpose- Working conditions play an important role in shaping the teachers’ attitude.&nbsp; In this context, this study intends to examine the effect of the working conditions on the teachers’ attitude.</p> <p>Design/Methodology- Philosophically, this study is guided by post-positivist paradigm utilizing the survey design. The data in this study were collected from the teachers of community schools of the Kathmandu district using the questionnaire My Classroom Appraisal Protocol (MCAP). The collected data were analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics like mean, standard deviation, independent sample <em>t</em>-test and simple linear regression. Then, the derived findings were then interpreted and measured against the past studies and theories. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Findings- This study found significant difference in the attitude of the teachers who had satisfactory and unsatisfactory building conditions.&nbsp; Additionally, the study showed a moderate association between working condition and teachers’ attitude. Furthermore, this study concludes that the building condition of school plays a crucial role in shaping the teachers’ attitude.&nbsp; Finally, this study shows that there is a positive relationship between the working conditions and teachers’ attitude.</p> <p>Practical Implications- This study is expected to be beneficial to school leaders and forthcoming researchers for making positive changes in the education system of Nepal.</p> Anan Lama, Milan Shrestha Copyright (c) 2020 Anan Lama, Milan Shrestha Mon, 04 May 2020 00:00:00 +0000 Technology Acceptance of E-Banking Services in an Unnatural Environment <p><strong>Purpose-</strong> The effect of technology acceptance of e-banking services on satisfaction has been well studied in a system. It is characterized as being in a state of orderliness; however, there is the dearth of study in an unnatural environment, among others. </p> <p><strong>Design/Methodology-</strong> Data were collected through a structured questionnaire from 304 staff of Federal Medical Centre, Owo, Nigeria, that were selected using a random sampling technique. The study hypotheses were assessed with PLS-SEM methodology.</p> <p><strong>Findings-</strong> Findings from the study suggest that the customers’ level of perceived usefulness of e-banking pays more considerable attention to the e-banking channels, implying that the usefulness of the technology is considered crucial among the respondents.
