SEIJOM publishes original, high-quality scholarship in business, management, and related disciplines. The journal gives priority to empirically advanced research that demonstrates methodological rigor, analytical depth, and clear scholarly contribution. Exceptionally strong theoretical, conceptual, and review papers may also be considered where they offer originality, intellectual depth, and clear relevance to the field.

IMPORTANT: TWO FILES ARE MANDATORY FOR EVERY SUBMISSION

Every submission must include exactly two Microsoft Word files. Submissions missing either file, or using the wrong template, will not proceed to review.

AIMS AND SCOPE

SEIJOM welcomes manuscripts that make a meaningful contribution to research, theory, policy, or practice in business, management, and related areas. Submissions should be firmly grounded in the relevant literature, address a clear research problem, and demonstrate relevance to contemporary scholarly and professional debates. The journal particularly welcomes work with international relevance and contributions that extend beyond a narrowly local setting.

ARTICLE TYPES

SEIJOM considers the following categories of manuscript:

• Empirical research articles
• Theoretical papers
• Conceptual papers
• Review papers with clear scholarly contribution

The journal primarily prioritizes empirically advanced studies. Theoretical, conceptual, and review submissions are considered selectively and are expected to meet a high threshold of originality, rigor, and contribution.

ORIGINALITY AND EXCLUSIVITY

Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. Papers must present a clear contribution to knowledge and must not substantially reproduce previously published work. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal's scope or minimum scholarly standards may be declined at the initial editorial screening stage.

MANUSCRIPT LENGTH

Manuscripts should normally be between 6,000 and 9,000 words, excluding tables, figures, and references. Longer papers may be considered where the contribution justifies additional length. Manuscripts under 4,000 words will not normally be considered unless specifically invited.

MANUSCRIPT PREPARATION

A structured Microsoft Word template is available to support manuscript preparation. Authors are expected to prepare their manuscripts in a clear, professional, and consistent academic style.

Manuscripts should normally include the following elements:

1. Title
2. Abstract
3. Keywords
4. Introduction
5. Literature Review and Hypotheses Development, where applicable
6. Methodology
7. Findings
8. Discussion
9. Conclusion
10. References

Alternative structures may be appropriate for theoretical, conceptual, or review papers, provided the manuscript remains coherent, rigorous, and logically developed.

TITLE, ABSTRACT, AND KEYWORDS

The title should be concise, specific, and informative. Avoid unnecessary abbreviations and acronyms. The abstract should be 150–200 words and structured under the following headings:

• Objective
• Design
• Findings
• Policy Implications
• Originality

Authors should provide 4–10 keywords that accurately reflect the content of the manuscript and support discoverability.

AUTHOR INFORMATION

For each author, provide full name, departmental affiliation, institutional affiliation, country, email address, and ORCID iD. Biographical notes are optional and should be limited to 100–150 words per author. SEIJOM accepts a maximum of four authors per manuscript.

Important: the contributor list entered in the submission system must match the Title Page and Declarations file exactly — the same authors, in the same order, with the same affiliations. Changes to authorship after submission require a written request signed by all authors.

SUBMISSION FILES

Authors must submit two separate files, both in Microsoft Word format:

1. Title Page and Declarations — prepared using the journal template, containing:

• Article title
• Names, affiliations, email addresses, and ORCID iDs of all authors, with the corresponding author designated
• All required declarations: Ethics Statement, Informed Consent, Data Availability, Funding, Conflict of Interest, Author Contributions (CRediT), and Use of Generative AI
• Biographical notes, if applicable

2. Blinded Manuscript — containing the title, abstract and keywords, main text, and references only. The Blinded Manuscript must not contain author names, acknowledgments, declarations, institutional identifiers, or any other information that could reveal the identity of the authors. The Methods section should describe consent and data collection procedures in anonymized terms.

Declarations from the Title Page and Declarations file will be inserted into the article at the production stage and will appear in the published version.

STYLE AND PRESENTATION

Authors should use clear section headings, consistent formatting, and precise academic language. Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively, titled clearly, and cited in the text. Abbreviations should be defined at first use. Manuscripts should be carefully proofread before submission to ensure clarity, grammatical accuracy, and consistency in style.

REFERENCING

SEIJOM follows APA 7th edition referencing style only. Authors must ensure full consistency between in-text citations and the reference list. Mixing APA 6th and APA 7th edition styles is not permitted. Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as EndNote, Mendeley, Zotero, or equivalent to ensure that citations and references remain properly linked and machine-readable. Wherever available, each reference should include its DOI in clickable URL format.

ETHICAL AND POLICY REQUIREMENTS

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submissions comply fully with the journal's policies on authorship, ethics approval, informed consent, conflicts of interest, funding disclosure, data availability, originality, and the use of generative AI tools. ETHICS STATEMENT AND DATA AVAILABILITY

Every manuscript must include an Ethics Statement in the Title Page and Declarations file, in accordance with the journal's Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement. Studies with ethics approval must report the committee name, approval number, and date; studies not requiring approval must state this explicitly with a brief justification.

SUBMISSION AND EDITORIAL SCREENING

Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal's OJS submission system. All submissions undergo an initial editorial screening, typically completed within 2 business days, to assess fit with the journal's scope, scholarly contribution, writing quality, and methodological rigor. SEIJOM prioritizes empirically advanced manuscripts and may decline submissions before peer review where empirical depth, conceptual strength, or overall quality is insufficient.

PEER REVIEW AND REVISION

Manuscripts that pass editorial screening proceed to double-blind peer review. Peer review decisions are typically communicated within approximately 60 days, although review times may vary. Where revisions are requested, authors are normally expected to submit a revised manuscript within 2–3 weeks unless otherwise advised by the editor.

BEFORE SUBMISSION

Before submitting, authors should ensure that:

1. The manuscript fits the journal's scope and article types.
2. The manuscript is original and not under consideration elsewhere.
3. The manuscript demonstrates a clear scholarly contribution.
4. The manuscript complies with the journal's word limit.
5. The title, abstract, and keywords are complete.
6. The Title Page and Declarations file (per the journal template) and the Blinded Manuscript are uploaded as two separate files.
7. The Blinded Manuscript contains no author names, acknowledgments, declarations, or identifying information.
8. The contributor list in the submission system matches the Title Page and Declarations file exactly.
9. The manuscript follows APA 7th edition consistently, with citations and references prepared in a machine-readable and properly linked format using EndNote, Mendeley, Zotero, or equivalent software; wherever available, each reference includes its DOI in clickable URL format.
10. All declarations are complete in the Title Page and Declarations file, including the Ethics Statement and Data Availability Statement per the journal's approved templates.
11. All policy-related requirements have been addressed in accordance with the journal's Policy page.
